  • The UV-Vis-NIR spectrum of this alexandrite shows the common iron-related absorption at 444nm which is responsible for its yellow or brown color.

  • The natural alexandrite weighing 16.23 carats described in this black edition report is a rare piece. Alexandrite is a remarkable gemstone known for its color changing phenomenon, this stone is changing from yellowish green to reddish brown under different lightning conditions.
