  • Tanzania's ruby was discovered relatively recently in the late 20th century. Since then, Tanzanian rubies have gained recognition in the gemstone industry. They are known for their rich, deep red color.

  • As the general colorless corundum formula is aluminium oxide, the presence of trace elements will provide its color. In this stone the presence of red color is due to the presence of chromium, it is proven by the broad band around 552 nm.
