  • The UV-Vis-NIR spectrum of this chrysoberyl shows the common iron-related absorption at 444nm which is responsible for its yellow or brown color.

The stone exhibits two natural phenomena: a color change from yellowish green to brownish orange and a well-defined cat's eye effect.
