  • Gemological testing revealed characteristics consistent with those of Natural Fancy Sapphire from:

  • Sri Lanka mines produce fancy sapphire since ancient times, it has been well established by 1292, when Marco Polo first landed the Gem Island. To this day, it is still one of the most prominent fancy sapphire producers in the world.

  • The Fe3+ chromophore exists in essentially all natural sapphire. The resulting stones can be colorless, depending on the relative concentrations of the trace element present.
