ORIGIN INFORMATION
  • Gemological testing revealed characteristics consistent with those of Natural Ruby from:
  • CountryMozambique
  • Mozambique ruby was first discovered in 2009 when strikingly fine rubies, including some star rubies, were found in the northern part of the country. Within a few years, it has become one of the leading rubies producing countries.

  • As the general colorless corundum formula is aluminium oxide, the presence of trace elements will provide its color. In this stone the presence of red color is due to the presence of chromium, it is proven by the broad band around 552 nm.

  • The color of this natural ruby is very pleasant with strong saturation and a color combination contain purplish hue that add extra unique characteristics to this gem. It complements with very good lustre that enhances the brilliance of the stone. Based on these factors, this stone deserves our special mention and appreciation.
