ORIGIN INFORMATION
  • Gemological testing revealed characteristics consistent with those of Natural Fancy Sapphire from:
  • CountrySri Lanka
  • Sri Lanka mines produce fancy sapphire since ancient times, it has been well established by 1292, when Marco Polo first landed the Gem Island. To this day, it is still one of the most prominent fancy sapphire producers in the world.

  • As the general colorless corundum formula is Aluminium Oxide, the presence of trace elements will provide its color. In this stone the presence of yellow color is due to the presence of iron, it is proven by Fe-related absorption features at 450nm.

  • The alluring natural fancy sapphire decribed in this report is a true rarity, with an exceptional weight of 43.25 carats and without treatment.
